Koolfoam was formed in 1981 and since the outset has been an innovator and market leader in its approach to the manufacturing of Expanded Polystyrene for the New Zealand market.
Originally Koolfoam built all of its own manufacturing equipment from Pre Expanders, Block Moulders and Auto Cad Cutting Equipment. Much of this equipment is still in use today, modified, but still very relevant to today’s production demands and customer requirements.
In conjunction with this, Koolfoam made significant investments into state-of-the art manufacturing equipment, thus ensuring Koolfoam can meet the growing demands of both quality and quantity that the market now requires.
Koolfoam worked on the significant Tauranga Eastern Link project where 42,000m3 of Koolfoam Geofoam was installed as lightweight fill in a large section of that project.
