The Ministry has teams around New Zealand so that we can easily connect with Pacific communities on the ground.

The regional teams build strong connections and networks in Pacific communities, so we can effectively empower and support community enterprise and the sharing of information on government policy and initiatives.

Our regional offices are the Ministry’s strongest link with Pacific communities. We engage with Pacific communities to develop good knowledge of their aspirations, issues and possible solutions. This engagement informs policy development.

After Legal Aid Services has granted legal aid we provide legal advice and representation to our clients. All our clients have been charged with a criminal offence.

We can help with all stages of the criminal process. This includes initial advice, trial, sentencing, and any appeals to the High Court, the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court. We also represent clients at parole hearings.

All of our lawyers are approved to provide criminal legal aid services by the Secretary for Justice.
